Dr. Mark Molloy is a licensed Chiropractor in the province of Newfoundland & Labrador and obtained his degree, Doctor of Chiropractic, from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He is a member in good standing with the Newfoundland and Labrador Chiropractic Board and Association. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Kinesiology Honours Degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Dr. Molloy has furthered his education by completing a certificate in medical acupuncture from McMaster University and is a certificant of the Canadian Academy of Medical Acupuncture. In addition to being a Chiropractor, Mark is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Level I/ II coach through the National Canadian Coaching Program.
Dr. Molloy looks at the body as a whole and assesses for biomechanical dysfunction, muscular imbalances and movement impairments. With proper diagnosis he utilizes the appropriate tools to treat the problem in an effort to alleviate pain and address the underlying cause. He uses a combination of spinal and extremity manipulation, soft tissue therapy, exercise rehabilitation, acupuncture, nutritional counselling, kinesiotaping, shockwave therapy, custom orthotics, and high performance personal training. Dr. Molloy firmly believes in an approach that integrates chiropractic care with functional strength training and conditioning to achieve optimal health and wellness. By offering both of these services to his clients and patients Dr. Molloy is able to coach and treat the individual to achieve maximum performance.
Mark’s approach as a strength coach and personal trainer is both functional and dynamic and he enjoys working with a diverse range of clients, from beginners to advanced athletes. His training employs a solid understanding of biomechanics and anatomy to improve speed, strength, power, balance, and core stability.
Personally, Mark has most extensively been involved with the sport of hockey after playing junior hockey in Canada and coaching minor hockey in his home town. Now he enjoys having the opportunity to train and educate young athletes along with keeping them injury free and in the game. Mark has trained NCAA soccer players, professional basketball players and many young hockey players and skiers.
Mark takes great pride in using his knowledge to educate his clients and empower them to be in control of their own health and fitness. Given his background and his multi dimensional approach Dr. Molloy is able to provide his patients and clients with the necessary treatment and tools to achieve long-term success.
After completing his studies and several years of practice in Toronto, Dr. Molloy now resides and practices in Gander, Newfoundland.
